Royal Crescent Hotel

We had such a lovely stay at the Royal Crescent Hotel, celebrating our parents’ 50th wedding anniversary with the family. We don’t often get the chance to all get together, so having everyone in one place to celebrate such a special milestone made it even more meaningful for us. We spent a lovely afternoon in the gardens enjoying cake together, followed by a wonderful private dining experience in the Library. There were so many lovely moments that we’ll remember. Even Alfie, (a cat that lives further along the crescent but has taken up partial residence at the hotel), decided to make a surprise welcome appearance! The rooms were fantastic and everyone in the family felt so comfortable. More than anything, though, we felt genuinely looked after throughout our stay. There was such a warm, friendly feeling to the hotel, and the staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We all thoroughly enjoyed breakfast too, which was the perfect way to round off our stay and send us on our way for the day. A special thank you to Carisma from the Events team for helping to organise everything and making sure all the details came together so beautifully. And a big thank you to the whole team who looked after us during our stay, you all helped make a very special family occasion even more memorable. We came away with some very happy memories, lots of laughter and plenty of lovely photographs to remind us of a wonderful few days together. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to celebrate our parents’ 50th wedding anniversary, and we would absolutely love to return.

Just arrived today to a beautiful sunny day in Bath. Hotel is beautiful although some areas could use some updating. More upsetting is the greeting or lack there of when you walk in. The concierge desk is the first thing you see and one gentleman was very polite but another younger one was so cold and aloof that he really shouldn’t be put anywhere near guests. Twice I have walked in and said a comment about how nice the weather was and he would barely look up and didn’t say a word in return. Forget a “welcome back did you enjoy your walk”. Even a response to my comment about how hot it was was met with cold stare as if I was bothering him. Horrible first impression when you enter the hotel. And so much so that it has tainted my view of the hotel. Wish I had stayed at The Gainsborough Hotel which I checked out and I was greeted so warmly when I walked in.

Fantastic stay. Beautiful building and location. The room was amazing. The spa facilities are small but beautifully executed. The concierge staff were awesome.
