Stayed two nights at the Bath Priory for their gastronomic experience this weekend. Kitty greeted us at reception and was ultra professional and welcoming. The grounds looked stunning again and we had a beautiful bedroom (Magnolia) with masses of space and a super comfy bed. We used the spa this visit which was modern and spotless if a little small. We ate in the AA restaurant on Friday and the Pantry on Saturday - the food was amazing. This was our second visit this year - we thought that the sitting rooms were looking dated with old sofas rather than welcoming. We were disappointed with the restaurant service generally, whilst all the staff were working hard and friendly there were just too many mistakes - we specifically asked for champagne to be on the table at 630 for a double celebration but this arrived 15 mins late and the breakfast service left a lot to be desired - if you offer table service please get it right. We had to ask for juice three times, one tea was forgotten, we were shown to a table on Sunday and had saucers as tea plates (with a knife placed over the top so not our mistake) and the leftover jams etc from the previous diner. Then someone else’s breakfast turned up at our table twice! I could go on, not something I would expect at that price and a similar experience that we had back in April

This is our second year going to Bath Priory for afternoon tea during the Jane Austen Festival. We absolutely love going here as it's one of the best afternoon tea's we've had in both food and service. The entire staff are always so brilliant and accommodating. I was in talks with Rowena in the events team and she was so incredibly helpful in booking us in as we were a large group of 11. We were even surprised as they had arranged a private room for us to dine in, we felt like royalty. Any food adjustments needed were done with no issue at all and all the food was delicious and fresh. We were delighted to be served by Peter again this year and the rest of the staff, everyone was so kind and made us feel really special. I would always recommend this place and we are all looking forward to visiting again next year.

when we arrived we were advised they upgraded our room we thought how kind but on closer inspection the room was very tried and very dusty , there was mould around the tapes plus later in the evening we had the pleasure of listening to the kitchen fan until late . We decided not to complain as only staying 1 night. Breakfast was not good we had to wait 10 minutes for service ( two young girls arrived the young men jumped to take their order ). My husband ordered the full english , cheap sausage and bacon £18 i had poached egg on toast the bread so thin it went soggy £14. we have had better in a small pub. the plus is the grounds are beautiful and the receptionist very friendly. Sorry wont be visiting again .
