Booked mainly due to location and included parking which seems a rarity in Bath. If anyone is visiting using public transport this place is very well located for bus routes into town close by. It was a quiet place despite there seeming to be plenty of cars parked. I had a lower ground floor room that was basic but adequate. If coming as a couple I'd advise an upgrade. However all was clean and good value for money.

Good location near buses running into the city. No atmosphere. We were given our room key and informed that there was no room service (we had booked for two nights). We enquired about breakfast and were told it was only basic and we could find plenty of places that served food close by. In fact the Bear public house was the only place open within walking distance. The grounds were not maintained or looked after, a dilapidated swimming pool was half-full of green water. A couple of picnic benches had used mugs on the tables that were still there the next day. There were several piles of rubbish/debris and the surface of the carpark was full of pot-holes. The windows in our ground floor room opened onto a pathway to the back door where smokers congregated late at night and early in the morning and fumes drifted into our bedroom! The bedroom was very basic with no fridge and the en suite was barely large enough to shower and get dried and needed refurbishing. The outside was depressingly drab and uncared for, with peeling window-frames. Even the roadside sign was grubby! The only positive for us was the onsite car parking!

Start with the good 1. It has onsite parking for about 10 cars 2. It is abiut 15 min walk in tontown Thats it. It is old, tired and really just nasty. Room was tiny, even though i paid for a large room. It had a terible four poster bed thst was so uncomfirtsble. It had a pink canopy over the top.. the light for the room was above it so the room was dark under the bed or had an odd pink hue.. The tv is a monitor and i had to tune it as it had no channels. The bathroom was huge compared to the troom. It took 10 mins for the shower to run hot water. When it did there was zero pressure.. horrible experience. No hot water at all in the sink. The curtsins are about 30 years old and threadbare. Sun shine through as if they were open.. They dont have an iron to borrow! They have soent money on a 'bar' that wont get used.. why not upgrade the facilities? If this was £45 you wouldnt complain... it is not worth a penny more. For what i paid. I am genuinely angry. Wanted to tell staff this morning, but no one there.. Avoid
