Well what can I say When we arrived the reception young lad was so smiley it was lovely to see living his job and we met Carmen what a lovely person it really cheered myself and my partner up after walking out of another hotel in the area We were welcomed with smiles all round Kate has booked us in and she is brilliant so friendly they all showed compassion to us both The room we were over the moon with the cleaners work so hard to keep the place so clean Pure white towels everything shining and the kettle wow spotless they are even happy nothing is a problem The swimming g pool was like a Luke warm bath so nice and relaxing which my partner and I needed after a tough few weeks We had a great buffet breakfast very tasty lots of variety in the food and drinks A big mention of the dining room lady in the morning wish I could remember her name she is brilliant too Look all staff are amazing they all put themselves out and nothing is a problem they all smile and say morning or evening The gentleman on the front desk at night he’s funny makes you laugh Please check this hotel out for yourself honestly you won’t be disappointed we definitely were not sad to leave tomorrow but will be back to get married

Hotel is a little shabby in places but the staff more than made up for it. They were friendly, helpful and very professional. They seemed very happy in their work.

I am disgusted at the treatment I received by staff at the Durley Dean hotel Bournemouth.We have stayed at this hotel several times and have been perfectly satisfied even given a five star review.We were due to stay at the hotel July 14th to 16th but unfortunately my husband was diagnosed with cancer and had to have an operation so I contacted the hotel after checking availability to bring the dates forward.I had a response from Hollie which said this was not possible because I had booked through a third party .I then asked for the Managers email and got a very curt response from the reception manager Carmen starting with hope you are well,very patronising it the stated I should of booked a flexible break so it was my fault very condescending! I then got an email from Paul Feasey hotel director showing absolutely no compassion. Lastly on the 15th July I got a call from the hotel to see if we would be coming for the second night which I found very upsetting as by this time I had cancelled the break.I wasn’t bothered so much at not being able to have the break it was the unsympathetic way it was dealt with that annoyed me.I don’t know who the hotel belongs to but some staff training on how to deal with sensitive problems wouldn’t go amiss. WE WONT BE BACK
