If you’re looking for somewhere just to have a quick break then yes we would recommend it. However a few things to consider. No aircon a must in these heat waves. The black out curtains are too small and don’t keep the room dark. The evening meals are average at best. I would suggest a walk into town and eat there.

The location is great, the staff we spoke to also great & helpful. The hotel itself is poor and quite rundown. The outside of the hotel needs a good hosing down and cleaned, the windows in the corridors were so so dirty . Room basic but we expected that but no bathmat, only 1 hand towel for 2 and quilt on bed wrong way round so that opening of cover was on side & not on bottom. Just lacking a bit of care & attention from room cleaners. We stayed Friday & Saturday night & paid £271 so not cheap then breakfast was on top of that. Get the hotel cleaned up and it could be so much better
