Waverley Bed & Breakfast

My wife and I stayed at the Waverley for 3 nights in August. The property is situated in a quiet street which is a short walk to the sea front/beach and the town centre. There is no on-site parking but there is free parking out in the road and there was always plenty of spaces so no problem. Throughout our whole stay we were made to feel most welcome by Steve & Di. We were given a very comfortable upstairs, ensuite room at the rear of the property with a decent sized wardrobe and a highly effective, easy to operate shower unit in the bathroom. In the mornings we were served breakfast downstairs in a pleasant dining room at the front of the house. Di's full Englishs were marvellous! There was a wide choice on the breakfast menu with cereals and different fruits also available. Steve gave us a good rundown on the surrounding area. We were also a short walk from the Steam Railway and we took a ride out down the West Somerset Line, stopping off at beautiful Dunster and Watchet. It is recommended to buy a rover ticket so you can get off and reboard at whatever stops you like. It's a great way of seeing the area. We also drove to Dunster Castle which is just 5 miles away. It is set in extensive grounds with a lot of uphill but there is a free taxi service within available if you do not feel like too much walking. In the evenings we ate out in Minehead. There are a number of different themed restaurants in Minehead town centre within short walking distance as well as pubs which provide evening meals. The Wheelhouse is very good. On the whole we found Minehead to be a peaceful and relaxed town and we were definitely struck lucky choosing such a lovely, well situated B&B with such nice people running it.

Cannot fault anything….Room was very clean so was the en-suite both very good in size, decor was lovely! Bed was comfortable which is always a plus. Breakfast was included in the price which was very tasty and a wide choice of breakfast items to choose from. Owners were very friendly and so was the staff. Ideal location to Minehead beach and town. Parking was free although it was to the side and to the front of property there were plenty of parking spaces. Would definitely book again…..Thank you both for making our stay perfect…..Clare

Fabulous B&B . Made to feel very welcome. Clean and Modern . Definitely would recommend. And revisit. Near to Town and Beach
