Best Western Swan

We had a fantastic time at the Swan hotel in Wells , we had a four poster bed and a brilliant view overlooking the Cathedral. The Swan team were very attentive and professional nothing was to much trouble. The food was excellent we shall definitely be staying there again and we highly recommend the Swan to anyone who wants to either stay over or have a meal out a big Thank you to the Swan team kind regards Maria and Peter Eade ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — with Peter Eade and 3 others.

Experience relies on which room you are allocated. We were in room 6 which was an awful experience, absolutely no sound proofing, we could hear everything in the room above, and had very little sleep as a result. I note this issue has already been identified by previous customers. Parking - the hotel need to clearly state when booking that unless you arrive early there will be no car parking space and also note the distance to park your car away from the hotel. Parking is located 10-15 minutes walk away, if you have no luggage, not much of a problem, if you do ( plus a dog) it’s tricky and time consuming dropping off luggage, parking, then doing the same in reverse when leaving. Overall we had a poor experience, and will not return.

I hate this place with the heat of a thousand suns. You can tell a hotel is bad when it doesn’t have a phone in the room to contact reception. So you have to walk in the rain to get more toilet paper because what they’ve given you is clearly not adequate. And so you can’t complain about anything. This place doesn’t have enough parking for its rooms and washes its hands of the problem after that point. It just reeks of mediocrity and laziness. So much so that I can’t even be bothered to write anymore. Just don’t go.
