Holiday Inn Barnsley

Location was great for me out of town but easy to get to town and where I needed to go. Reception was fine easy to check in. Room was clean and tidy a little dated. Noise level not good if there is a wedding on music goes on too long. Service was great room was cleaned another Towels replaced. Service in bar was fine and the food very presentable and the portions were huge.

Great location if you’re traveling but nothing else. Not dog friendly you pay £15 for them to be in a room no bowls supplies no bed… and to top it off not allowed in the bar or to get food.. prom going on no heads up apart from it will finish at 11pm I have a 1 year old I would have stayed somewhere else. Poor service and a disgusting hotel it is stinking on our floor it smells like we have walked into a boys locker room! And what a view! No fridge to store milk.

Greeting upon arrival was welcoming beautiful large entrance area. Room we were given was 233 room did the job and comfortable. However the extractor fan timer could do with reducing it must go on for at least 20-30 minutes after you switch the light off and is very noisy especially at night. The staff are very friendly and the bar area is very nice. The wedding reception was handled really nicely and for a quiet wedding was ideal. However the hotel as many function rooms with different sizes. Breakfast is very good plenty to choose from cooked breakfast cereals cold meat. Would recommend a stay here if you were in the area. However the rooms are getting slightly dated now and could do with some TLC however very clean.
