We called today to the Nineteenth cafeteria,it’s a nicely decorated place, first impressions not good,as soon we walked in a member of staff just looked at us as she walked past us,not a hello a smile or anything!! We sat down and I went to order food, the food food is expensive and not worth the money at all, nobody came to ask if food was ok,it was a very cold unfriendly atmosphere, needless to say we won’t be recommending or returning,I certainly wouldn’t want the staff working for me,absolutely miserable!!

It's now Nineteeth Bar & Grill, although there doesn't seem to be a TripAdvisor listing for it yet. The décor and atmosphere are fantastic, which makes it even more surprising that the food and drinks don't seem to match the setting. I gave it 2 stars purely because of the venue itself. There were lots of plates with large amounts of food left uneaten, which didn't inspire confidence. The cakes looked like supermarket-bought ones, which was disappointing when they could be supporting a local bakery instead. As it was a hot day, I ordered a white chocolate milkshake, but it was honestly the worst I've ever had. It was very thin, mostly froth, and tasted like plain milk with cheap white chocolate pieces that weren't even pleasant to eat. At £6, it wasn't worth the money, and I had to leave most of it. After that, I decided not to order any food. It's such a shame because I'd heard really positive things when the restaurant first opened, but it does seem to have gone downhill, which was reflected in my experience.

We booked for Friday 19th December, It's a nice place but it has never got many people in, I have been twice before and had the pie which is very nice, so I ordered it again but they had run out. My partner had fillet steak as it came, a bit over done but ok, I had steak which was nice, I had to pay about £5 for a few green beans, not a lot. We finished it off with chocolate fudge which would have been better warm as it was a bit hard, It was an ok meal, nothing special for £90, i would go again but only for pie. One thing I will praise is the staff, they are very friendly.
