Best Western West Retford

I stayed here for two nights to be close to a family reunion. My room was very clean and it was incredibly quiet, even though there was a party in the main building. All staff I spoke to were friendly and helpful.

Excellent base for a family gathering. A couple of small details could be improved (shower is a bit dated, neighbours a bit noisy) but this was nothing compared to the service and friendliness of the staff. Everyone we spoke to was really helpful and professional, many of them young staff members, so huge credit to them and the managers. The whole place was spotless and the food & drink on our large family birthday meal was great on saturday night. Highly recommended for a celebration weekend or somewhere special to stay whilst exploring the area.

Superb hotel. Lovely room, spotless and great facilities. Buffet breakfast was good with vegetarian options available. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Gardens were beautiful; a pleasure to sit out of an evening in the glorious sunshine we were fortunate to have during our stay. 10 minute walk to the town centre, with pubs and restaurants. Highly recommend Rondo lounge in the market square for food and drinks. Only negative, at the hotel was white wine wasn’t cold enough!
