Spa Day Spa very tired- definitely in need of an upgrade

My wife and I stayed here for 1 night on Saturday 6th June after it was recommended by a family member. The hotel has now become part of the IHG group and is now called voco .On arrival we found that the room we had booked was no longer available and we were upgraded to a queen size room situated on level 5 which had 2 double beds,walk in shower,separate bath ,seating ,huge television and view overlooking the winter garden.Room was very clean and all fittings etc very well maintained ,overall very happy with room and front desk staff who were all very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was amazing, great seating area next to the winter gardens and basically everything you could wish for again friendly staff ,very clean and pleasant. The bar area was spacious and very relaxing only missing a cocktail menu ..minor detail though. Look forward to staying again ,well done and thank you to all the staff .

this hotel is worse than a 2 star hotel.lift has been out of use for months.wardrobe door missing.bedside light not working.6 inch crack in wash basin.very run down.Trade describtions should look at misdiscribtion.wow no water as offered in room.no bath robes.could go on and on!
