Holiday Inn Express Cambridge Duxford

The bed is rock solid. There's was what looked like poo stains on the carpet. It's ON the Train line. Black mould in the shower and sink plug. Broken shower which shoots at the wall or the door, flooding the bathroom floor. The dirty sink was missing a cover, which I lost my toothbrush head down Turned up and we only had one towel for 2 guests, so took our own off the cleaning cart, and only supplied with one pillow each. Dirty bed sheets. The wine choice is AWFUL and pricey for the trash they serve. Breakfast was below par, we missed one as the staff told us the wrong serving hours. The coffee machine was broken at breakfast and the staff had no idea where the instant was. We got 2 bottles of water at the bar, which called for 2 members of staff to call managers to get a price as it wasn't on the till. The complimentary water had floating strawberries in, nice touch, a shame they were GREY! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME.

Stayed at the B&B Hotel for 3 nights while in a business trip, from check in to check out the whole experience was excellent. The rooms are of a high standard and the air con is a life saver. Ate at the hotel for the 3 nights, one of the nights there was a light delay for food being served but wow the standard and quantity of food served was very good. Will be returning to the hotel again when back in the area again.

A good location. Train station close by. A lovely breakfast selection. Friendly helpful staff.
