Riverside Hotel Branston

What a lovely hotel and restaurant. The rooms are beautifully furnished, meals are good, staff are friendly and efficient. The location is great - to be able to walk the path alongside the river is fantastic. We would definitely recommend ,and plan to come back.

I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels over the years, but this one really does tick all my boxes. I stayed at this hotel for a short stay while I was on a business trip, and from the moment I walked into my room, I felt welcomed. The room was warm, comfortable and had an overall lovely atmosphere. The hotel also provided a small token of their gratitude, along with a lovely little letter and a chocolate. These small personal touches really do make a hotel stand out and make you feel valued as a guest. If I had to find something to complain about — because we all have to find something! — it would be the wait at check-in. I arrived at the scheduled check-in time, but unfortunately there was nobody immediately available at reception, and the bar was very busy. I was advised to wait, and after around five minutes, someone was able to check us in. They did apologise for the wait, and honestly, I couldn’t hold it against them. The staff more than made up for it in so many other ways. We also decided to eat at the restaurant attached to the hotel. The food was very good and we couldn’t fault the quality. My colleague ordered the gammon, and unfortunately, the portion size wasn’t particularly generous, but overall the meal was enjoyable. I didn’t have breakfast during my stay, so unfortunately I can’t comment on that — although, based on everything else, I imagine it would have been very good! I’d also like to give a special mention to the staff. They were incredibly helpful, friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, and really added to the overall experience. I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. The little touches, friendly staff and overall atmosphere really made it a lovely place to stay

Came here for Sunday dinner with the family and was pleasantly surprised! The service was great, really attentive, and nothing was too much trouble. We were even asked if we wanted any sauces before our meal arrived, so we didn’t have to wait around for them — such a little thing but really appreciated! We were served by Michelle, who was lovely. She’s a real asset to the pub — very friendly, helpful and clearly knew what she was doing. The location is lovely too, and we’ll definitely be coming back to sit outside when the nicer weather comes around. We’ll definitely recommend it to the rest of the family and would happily meet here again! 😊
