Doubletree by Hilton Dunblane Hydro Hotel

We always chose to stay here as it’s the perfect location to explore the area. We have been staying at Apex Dunblane Hydro for many years and will continue to do so, always live our stay.

Superb hotel for a one night stay on our way to the Orkneys. Good room rate too. Dinner and breakfast of an excellent quality. Beautiful gardens

The hotel is impressive as you drive through the grounds and the views from the hotel are lovely. Walking up into the lobby is a great first impression but unfortunately it stops there. The upper floors are worn and very tired, not good at all. We paid a lot for our room and for the price it should have been special, it was not. The room was very small, hardly room to open the wardrobe beside the bed. Very basic but the bed was comfortable, large bathroom but it felt very institutional. Breakfast though was excellent! We went for a swim at the spa, once again this needs updating, very run down changing rooms. Overall a very disappointing experience and not worth the money we paid. Be aware the hotel caters for a lot of coach parties. We will not return.
