Best Western Buchanan Arms Hotel & Spa

Worst sleep ever!!!!!! The hotel room was so hot and no way to control the heating temperature. We had to get reception at 10:30pm to open the stuck window to allow the heat to escape. They also had a birthday party that played very loud music through to 12 midnight. And people in groups outside our window talking loudly until 1am. Not against functions at the hotel but we needed a good night sleep. The hotel should not have booked other guests other than those at the party to stay in the accommodation. Saying that, we are on the West Highland Walk and really needed to rest and recover. Which was impossible. Bed was hard and not restful but the spa before dinner was excellent. Overall, poor sleep , unhappy stay and bad start to our next long day of walking

Beautiful location and really handy for Loch Lomond /west highland way but the hotel room we had was disgusting. Shabby and dated. Didn’t get our room cleaned whilst we were there on a 2 night stay. Bar staff , pool staff and waitresses were really warm and friendly but I would never stay here again. Breakfast rubbish, you would be better off elsewhere and there is a nice bakery nearby and other restaurants for meals. Need to improve, and embarrassment to Scottish hospitality. There are much nicer places for the price you pay here.

Stayed for two nights, perfect location for exploring nearby Loch Lomond. Staff are so friendly and helpful, especially Julie on reception. Dinner was so enjoyable and great value. Our room was comfortable and quiet. Would definitely stay again.
