Poppies Hotel and Restaurant

A great small hotel. A warm welcome when we arrived and speedily shown to our room on the top floor. The room was spacious, there were bathrobes, an iron and ironing board and a comfy settee to relax on. A nice touch was a chocolate mint each on the bed. The bathroom had both a bath and separate shower with quality toiletries and good towels, not the skimpy thin ones you sometimes find. There was a folder with local information, usefully listing pubs/bars/restaurants in order of distance from Poppies, nearest first of course. We picked our breakfast items from a comprehensive list and handed it in before heading to a local pub. We didn't sample the residents bar but it looked very well stocked. The breakfast was ready at the time we requested and was delightful, served with a smile. I would stay again if around Callander.

Lovely traditional hotel with modern amenities, my bedroom was tastefully decorated and the bed was incredibly comfortable, owners and staff were friendly and approachable and the Cameron Bar is incredible

A perfect stay. This hotel is welcoming, with plenty of parking, a pretty fron garden, a handsome building and an amazing bar. The room we stayed in at the top floor of the hotel, was roomy, super comfy especially the beds and bedding. Generous towels, clean as a whistle overall. Breakfast was delicious. Can’t wait to come back.
