Room window would not open [in heat wave]very hot small fan in room no air con but air con rads out side from 6.30 to 9.30 pm very noisy low water pressure unable to use shower hot tap in sink very loose water leak 2nd floor near lift there is more at break fast ran out of bacon/sausage what was left was cold/warm we reported this and we where told they would phone us when we are home [no phone call]never ever will we stay there again the hotel needs up dating [staff where very helpfull thank to them]

The hotel is very nice and the staff were all friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean, we only had a couple of issues. Firstly the room was very hot and only one of the windows opened, on the other window the sash is broken so it couldn’t be opened so there was no through breeze. There was a fan but it was so small and very cheap it did nothing to cool the air. Then there was very little water pressure so taking a decent shower was impossible.

Just came back from a long weekend at the Orwell. Absolutely loved it. Our room was comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly and we enjoyed a lovely buffet breakfast. Plenty of parking and remember to put your registration in at reception. I love the traditional hotel feel about it. We also now have a life size elephant named Felix in the garden. A bit odd but a little bias as I love elephants. The hotel’s location, very near the shops and a short walk to the seafront. We would go back again.
