Seckford Hall Hotel

Luxurious, comfortable and amazing staff. Stayed here for a short break to unwind and it was just what we needed. Hotel is a historic building with all the comforts of a modern hotel. Staff were all polite and friendly being attentive but not intrusive. We used the spa for pool, hot tub and massage. All areas were spotlessly clean and our massages with Gabriel were so relaxing. Breakfast was plentiful and well cooked with a really good choice. We only had a sharing board in the evening but that was tasty! It is located 6 minutes drive from Woodbridge town centre, and we drove 90 minutes for a day in Southwold. This may be a higher price than other local hotels but is well worth the money.

Location amazing- very pretty and tranquil . Friendly staff, basic spa but good value for money- felt posh but not too formal. Would go again- especially in the summer.

Beware - it's a popular wedding venue and the night time reception disco noise was LOUD. I stayed with a friend for a few nights hoping for some real R&R. It's not a cheap stay, so we were excited to really get quality sleep and enjoy being in such a beautiful location. Night 1 (a Monday), there's a wedding on till midnight with a loud DJ. Impossible to sleep. The night staff say this is a regular problem and that the reservation team never mention if a wedding is on when people are booking. Our room was very close which made zero sense when they could have put the wedding party there. Thankfully Alex from the nights team moved us to another building (this was after already asking the other night staff guy who said there was nothing he could do.... turns out there was, and he was ok with us having a miserable night.) You might expect this on a Saturday, but not on a Monday, surely? Night 2, Tuesday, another wedding... The staff are lovely, the spa is great, rooms are clean. There's a lot to like. Just watch out because if there's a wedding on, the beautiful grounds are used so I felt I couldn't walk about, you don't want to be in the main house and they shouldn't charge you extra for it.
