The Bull Hotel Restaurant

Very centrally located and a friendly welcome. The suite was very roomy with a lovely sitting room. Airy and although some traffic it was very quiet at night. Bed was comfortable, shower was hot - what more can you want. Our booking included a parking space which was clearly marked when we arrived. A great stop over

After previously popping in for drinks some time ago, we thought we would return for lunch this time. My wife and daughter ordered the fish and chips and it was fine but the portions we really small for the price. I ordered a Coronation Chicken sandwich and asked if they did Granary bread & they said they did. What I was expecting was some nice thick cut granary bread but what I got was supermarket sliced brown bread and some lettuce on the side. It was just all bland tasting and no better than a supermarket pre packed sandwich. When I mentioned this to the guy who was collecting the plates and glasses, he just said OK. And that was that. In other words he couldn’t care less. At £12.00 for the sandwich I expected better, a lot better! Although we went in and ordered our food and drinks at the bar, they asked us to pay upon order and then instantly slapped a 10% service charge on, including the drinks! It really felt like we had our pockets picked. There are many places to eat in Woodbridge and I really think you can get a better standard and better value for elsewhere.

Great location in the middle of town! Interesting walk around the square and a visit to the church worthwhile. The hotel was excellent from check in to check out! Very good Restaurant for dinner and breakfast! Service excellent wherever you are; either checking in; getting a drink or having dinner or breakfast in the Restaurant. Our room was ideal with a corner position benefitting from good views and a through breeze when the windows are open. Comfortable bed and a modern bathroom completed the experience. Tea making facilities and shortbread made by the hotel chef were a welcome addition! If staying for a longer time; say a week, I think a fridge might come in handy.
