the Drummond at Albury

To The Drummond Chef This is what Guiness Rarebit should be 😋

Great location for us to break up a long journey from North to South with an overnight stay. Cosy, comfortable, clean, friendly staff, great food! Only downside was it’s on a main A road and traffic noise in our bedroom was a lot but by the nighttime it stopped and we slept well!

When my partner and I were here in April had the most memorable stay staff extremely helpful welcoming and nothing was too much trouble so I recommended to my son and paid for him to stay for his 40th birthday. We were booked in the restaurant for 830 as I had to travel 3hrs to get there after work. We were shown to our table given menus and told the kitchen was closing shortly but was told on the phone it was 9pm, we were not shown the specials board or advised there was one. We ordered our drinks and mains and the girl went to check if one still was available which it was. We ate our mains and ordered dessert which came but had to ask for spoons so we could eat it after listening to the girl having a conversation about she was glad it wasn't very busy that evening as it was going to be tomorrow. When I booked I was 100% sure we were going to have a memorable evening but was very disappointed. The room he was in was not in the Albury but a house next door not the boutique room that I said it would be not worth £148 with no breakfast. It's a real shame that it has completely changed my view of the place
