The hotel was clean but there was that bowls club smell throughout with rotting rear doors and that sort of crossroads feel. It’s only a 3 star and wasn’t crazy expensive but it wasn’t a pleasant experience at all. Don’t expect any extras like a phone. The staff were as accommodating as they could be but the room was boiling, so suggest you get some ice from Waitrose next door as ice buckets for water and wine could not be provided. The bathroom was very clean. Overnight parking is charged for which was a surprise in a small town like this. Was glad to leave to be honest.

First time at this particular Best Western.Greeted by a lovely receptionist Jasmine,extremely engaging,polite and helpful. Good central location for the town,lots of shops and restaurants. Nice peaceful ambience,room was clean and comfortable,quiet in hotel too. Went to stay as attending Epsom Derby,really good value as doing a promotion three nights for two. Breakfast had a really nice choice of continental and cooked.The gentleman host was excellent,nothing too much trouble. You do have to pay for parking but not too extortionate for twenty four hours. Had a really nice stay and would highly recommend

Booked a room that said had air con. Our room was an absolute sweat box. Advised receptionist and she said you have air con, you have a fan!!! C’mon!!! Noises all night from na hi erg or water water pipes banging. Staff very defensive when went to discuss with them. False advertising on their website as they said they had air con but they are fans. Surfaces were sticky. Bed side lamps didn’t work. All in all not a great stay. Very disappointing.
