Premier Inn Sunderland A19/A1231

A very clean and comfortable bedroom and bathroom. The staff were particularly lovely and very knowledgeable about the best places to visit in the local area. Sunderland had a few interesting places to see, there is a really lovely beach not far away at Roker and Durham and Beamish are close by too.

Not the best Premier Inn to be honest. Reception staff very friendly and helpful and they doing their best but appear let down by management not having spent any money on this one in years. From the outside it looks abandoned. The carpets are long in need of replacement and the noisy extractor fan on the closed down beefeater next door needs scrapping as it is sooooo noisy. Shower pressure is a trickle. Basically asking premium/premier prices for a budget hotel standard. Sunderland itself exceeded all expectations however would definitely return to the city but would just stay elsewhere until they decide to renovate it.

Nice family rooms as always. Mel on reception was very friendly and excellent with booking in matters and other quiries. Great place to stay for SAFC matches or visiting the area.
