Very, very dated. Room was ok but quite dirty. Bar is limited and not a great selection tbh. Not bad just not wonderful. It serves a purpose.

We’ve stayed here a few times because we make the trip with our two dogs and they are a dog friendly hotel. The staff have always been really nice and helpful. However, this trip it took forever to check in, we did notice that other guests were having the same issue. We had 3 rooms, one standard for us and 2 kingsize rooms for my adult son and daughter. We have to have a standard room because of the dogs. I really don't understand this room policy. My husband is 6ft 3 and a double bed is just too small. We were also told that we had to have a room on the first floor because of access for the dogs. Don’t get that either. The room we were allocated must have been the smallest double room in the hotel. We paid more for our room than a king size, plus an extra £90 for 3 nights for the dogs. Overall the hotel is very dated and shabby and in desperate need of an update. The lounge/bar area chairs have been updated recently, but please update the restaurant sign, it’s very 70’s holiday camp. On the plus side the bar food was good, although we were asked if we wanted to add a service charge to our bill, when did that change? After leaving the hotel I received a call from reception requesting payment for the dogs, which I settled when we checked in. Not sure if we will be staying here next time.

I really cannot fault this stay. Food lovely and plenty. Breakfast excellent. Bed very comfortable clean and fresh. Tea/coffee facilities in room. Toiletries like hand and body wash and shampoo provided. Lovely hot water.
