Ramada Encore Newcastle Gatesh

This is actually the worst place I’ve ever stayed in the 40 years I’ve been on this planet. It was absolutely disgusting. The breakfast was disgusting. The room was beyond dirty. It was disgusting. I would not let my dog sleep in that room hands down the worst hotell in the Northeast and the staff are very rude.

Great location and value for money. Like most hotels we researched, parking is chargeable at £10 per night on a first come first served basis. Once parked up, it is only a short walk into the city centre or a bus ride away. We booked on a day to day basis as doing a short roadtriphp north and stopped in Newcastle onmy birthday. Greeted warmly by Leanne at Reception who answred my questions and waited whilst I relayed the info to my husband who'd stopped right outside the entrance. When I agreed to book direct rather than the online deal we found, I was informed that we'd been upgraded as it was my birthday. Hotel is very clean, small gym which wasn't busy at all but has basic cardio and some free weights, clean bar/restaurant with plenty of seating. Bar available until 1AM, pizzas, available 24/7. Plenty of parking although if coaches pull in, it could be tight. Well lit at night when we returned from a dayin Edinburgh. Was automatically enrolled on the reward scheme upon check in, which was quick and easy as was check out. Received email on day of check out to see what time we wished to check out, as rewards members can check out later. Would stay here again.
