East Byermoor Guest House

Stayed here with my brother for the Great North Run. This quaint guesthouse is in the heart of the countryside and is a brilliant, relaxing place to stay. The rooms were really comfortable and had great views. There is ample parking and it is local to Whickham and all transport links. Breakfast was lovely, as were the hosts - Jacqi and Karl. I would definitely recommend this as a play to stay.

We stayed for one night last week on our way to Northumberland. This was so we could visit Beamish Museum. The guest house is in a fabulous location. Only a short drive to Whickham with plenty of eating places. The gardens go on forever and are very well kept. We were greeted by Karl. I loved the quirky little things around the house. Old telephones, theatre notices etc. Karl and Jacquie are very friendly and made us very welcome. Our room was lovely. Very comfy beds with excellent quality bedding. Breakfast was really good. Plenty of choice on the cold buffet. Perfect poached eggs. Would recommend the East Byermoor.

Very pleasant and accomodating hosts, excellent breakfast well cooked, our room was confortable and well appointed, Fresh milk not those silly little capsules and frest tap bottled water, no plastic waste. Very well situated for Newcastle, The Metro Centre and the North East Coast. Excellent bus service Monday to Saturday from the door
