Park Inn Cardiff City Centre

HOTEL CLOSED, but is still taking bookings! Don't book! We booked, traveled for 4 hours, got there to see it was closed leaving us having to find somewhere last minute or sleep on the streets. Awful.

I booked the Park Inn on the back of a really great stay last year. We booked for NYE and I only received notification yesterday that our booking had been cancelled. Upon investigation it is due to the hotel being closed. Why has it taken them 5 months after they closed to cancel bookings? Especially with my booking having been made a year ago and meant to be in 2 weeks time. Do not book!

Hard to even comprehend what happened here. We booked the park inn at the beginning of July, to stay for 2 nights from the 1st of August. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a notice on the doors to state the hotel was temporarily closed from the 16th july. Not only were we not notified of the closure, we were even given a prompt two days before our stay that they were expecting us. We had travelled 4 hours, meaning we had to pay mental prices for a last minute booking elsewhere. We then had to use our car to change outfits as we had little to no time until the concert that we were in Cardiff see, was due to start. To top this off, the hotel won’t answer any call and we are currently waiting to hear back from booking.com regarding this matter. Needless to say we will be seeking compensation and hopefully this post informs anyone else who has booked and expecting to stay. Absolutely pathetic.
