Best Western Diplomat Hotel

We go to the diplomat nearly every Wednesday for the carvery which is the best in the area, fresh veg and succulent roast meats turkey and beef, highly recommend. The bar waitress Leanne cannot do enough for you and know what drinks we want as soon as we walk in, she is very chatty and helpful and makes the whole experience most enjoyable

We stayed here for one night during the Philharmonic’s annual charity gala weekend. I live local so I wouldn’t normally spend the night here as a taxi home is affordable. However we were offered a discounted rate on an overnight stay so we decided to treat ourselves. This hotel is a gem, our room was modern with a large bathroom and everything you needed. The room and hotel is immaculately clean, the staff were really attentive and hard working. The food was excellent, I just couldn’t fault it. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to use the spa facilities so I can’t comment but I will definitely stay next year when I attend the Philharmonic’s gala.

Our choir hosted a gala dinner. We received fabulous customer service and the staff were amazing. In particular staff member Leanne Clarke - went over and above! She was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble - despite it being a very busy night! I would like to thank her for exceptional customer service.
