HOLIDAY INN

What a gem! We have just stayed three nights and really can’t fault the experience. We’ve never been to a Holiday Inn before but this exceeded our expectations. The service was faultless, room was comfortable with good air conditioning, spotlessly clean & quiet. Breakfast was amazing! A wide range of fresh fruit, pastries, & well cooked food that catered for all. Gluten free toast made to order, oat milk available without having to ask. Excellent! Nick & his team are welcoming, efficient & very professional. Even our cockapoo was made to feel special. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We will return…..😁

We should have been more observant as we had a little wait to check in as so many people were complaining about different issues with their own rooms. We had booked a family room that had not been made up when we arrived. Air conditioning not working in our room & the “manager” was unable/unwilling to provide fans or an apology. We decided to go down to the restaurant to get something to eat & cool down, waited about 20 minutes, gave up and walked to the retail park round the corner. The only positive was the lovely lady that came to make up the bed. Please do not waste your money, find an alternative hotel.

We regularly stay at this hotel, which is fine and con for us, but needs an update. However on this occasion they had COMPLETELY messed up the booking and inspite of me having many emails and app information confirming Id booked an accessible room, they didn’t have one. I’d booked in May! The staff didn’t help at all and I was left in a vulnerable position looking for somewhere to stay at 9pm that same night. I’ve contacted the manager and IHG by email and via a form and then live chat, but so far no response. Be ready for issues and have a back up plan before you book.
