Generally good. Bar prices high and wine which wasn’t great. Service slow and desert small and over priced. Staff pleasant and helpful. Accomodation clean although showing need for renovation. Location and parking good. .

This was one of the worst stays we have booked through Secret Escapes. When we arrived the receptionist (Sharon) was not welcoming, when we got to our room entrance there was spiders webs and dirt, then they key card would not work, so we went back to reception, no apology just an abrupt response on how to open a door…. When I returned to the room it was still touch and go.. the we walked into the room, this was not what I call executive, some of the doors were damaged, the windows dirty, half of the draws did not open as no handles. I was so disappointed, we didn’t say anything as the welcome was not pleasant and didn’t want to ruin our 4 days… we went for dinner and the service was atrocious, we were kept waiting on the first night for 45 minutes with our finished plates. Breakfast was very dry and no fruit apart from prunes, or apples. Following day the keycard failed to work again, so again we went to reception and received the same frosty woman, however when we mentioned the keycard a member of the maintenance team was there and said that he thinks it could be the battery and came straight away, we also mentioned that the safe in the room was locked and only to be told they cannot open it as a new one needs to be ordered… In the paperwork in the room it mentioned to ask a reception and they would print a timetable for the bus, and when we asked she just said abruptly that they arrive on the .51 hour, nothing about the return trip, so very unhelpful… Not a great stay.
