Premier Inn Livingston (Bathgate)

As some previous customers have noted some rooms are very hot, despite the outside temperature being over 10 degrees lower. Even the corridor temperature is lower than the room. We advised staff the room was too hot during the evening and again in the morning. They could not move us the first night as there were no rooms available, but we were moved on the second night. The staff said they are aware of the issue with certain rooms and have informed management, but they have done nothing to fix this. We made a claim under Premier Inn’s good night sleep guarantee and were refused, despite us advising staff of the issue. The guarantee is a sham and their customer helpline clearly has a copy and paste refusal email for anyone that attempts to claim. Their customer service department say they take feedback seriously to avoid issues happening again, but they clearly don’t, judging by the other reviews here. Horrible overpriced hotel (we paid £170 just for the first night)

I was staying in this hotel whilst my daughter was having major surgery at the near by regional centre. I’ve always liked premier inn. I did think it was pricey for Livingston/bathgate area as it’s not the nicest of area. On arrival there was no reception, no staff to welcome you in. In the room, it was clean bar someone’s sticky left over eyelash on the menu card! I didn’t realise when you were staying on multiple nights that there was no Siri room refresh. So when I came back from hospital I was disappointed room was as I had left it. I googled it and you need to request or put the refresh sign on door handle. So I did that the next day to get my bed made and tea bag’s refreshed etc. came back from hospital at 10.30 pm and room untouched, sign ignored. So I just had to leave it. Poor service this time.

A1 service from the moment we arrived to departure. Room very large and bed comfy as anything. Hotel,room and surroundings immaculate and very clean.Amenities at hotel( although I didn't use dining room,breakfast by all accounts from rest of party ,exceptional value for money).As we were there for a family wedding ( at The Vu) the location was perfect,and although plenty traffic surrounding us it was relatively very quiet.The staff were very accommodating, and nothing was too much for them ( a credit to Premier Inn). Now the 1 gripe,nothing to do with hotel,but it might be useful for them and guests going forward.Taxi from hotel Sunday for weddi g to The Vu £11:50, taxi from hotel to The Vu on Monday to pick up car £20 very 👿 👿 ,now I understand a little difference in price but not nearly double, and when owing online the average price should be between £9 and £10 give or take,so be warned if phoning for taxi from hotel ( direct link to taxis) check price first,so overall a very pleasant stay here and would use hotel again in the future no problem, only next time I would check taxi prices
