I have stayed here many times both before it was refurbished and after. Location is ideal for the Hippodrome Theatre (& Alexandra too). As a Platinum Member with IHG I had been upgraded prior to my arrival to a King Suite. That gesture will make me return later in the year. Room R017 was great. The advantage on this floor is the new glazing which is significantly better than the older windows higher up (I’m assuming that they haven’t been replaced). The mattress seemed like it will probably need replacing in the not too distant. Rashad was lovely on check in (& out) and to be fair all the staff I spoke to were very courteous. So well done to the team. It was lovely to back.

Location excellent Atmosphere very good Rooms . We were moved because the bathroom fan was noisy and could not be turned off meaning a sleepless night.The manager was very understanding and moved us to a room ,which we agreed to, but even this had its faults with a faulty toilet seat and sewage smell in the bathroom. The food was excellent but on both nights the meals arrived very late. Shesh, our waiter, explained the kitchen was short of a chef and was very apologetic and attentive . All the staff were very pleasant and amenable . Although we felt safe we think it would be a good idea to review your safety measures re people coming off the street and accessing the accommodation.

Excellent location for a theatre visit. Couple of minutes walk to either Hippodrome or The Alexandra. Car park (was NCP but APEX taking over and flat rate of £5 at the moment!) right outside the hotel takes you straight down into the hotel via side entrance. Welcoming seating areas around...quiet areas too. Big bar area, nice restaurant. Never met such a friendlier set of staff everywhere. Bedroom had good working air con! Very large room, big tv. Tea/coffee. Enormous comfortable bed. Plenty of storage space. Very nice bathroom with exceptional toiletries. Only downside..shower leaked out all over the floor and into the bedroom! This wasn't too much of a problem, we had the towels to mop it up! Reported at check out. Mini fridge and safe in the room as well. Breakfast was just sensational! Absolutely everything you could think of to suit every taste.Special mention to the person that made the scrambled egg...it was delicious! Would definitely stay again and would thoroughly recommend.
