RADISSON BLU

This is a great hotel .Spacious rooms with 2 arm chairs.Central location and convenient to New Street station.The out look isn’t great but we were hardly in the room during the day time.The down side was the water pressure was poor in the bathroom.There are budget hotels nearby.

I was here for business and would very happily come back. The room was excellent! It was clean and had everything. Great location too. I want to mention Olivia who made me feel welcomed. She was friendly and professional, and went out of her way to make sure I was looked after. A huge thank you to Olivia and the rest of the team for such a welcoming and enjoyable stay. I would absolutely recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the Radisson Blu Birmingham in a City View Suite for the first night of our family holiday. The hotel itself was pleasant, the room was spacious and comfortable, and the location was very convenient for Birmingham city centre. Unfortunately, we had a couple of issues which took the shine off the stay. We had planned to relax in the evening and watch a family film with our children, but the Chromecast on the TV would not connect. When I tried to call reception for assistance, I then discovered that the room telephone wasn't working at all – there was no dial tone, which also meant we couldn't use it to order room service. I eventually had to search for the hotel's telephone number on my own mobile and go through the options to reach reception. I explained both issues and was told that the hotel may have been going through an update which was affecting some TVs. However, nobody was sent to the room to investigate, no alternative was offered, and the faulty telephone wasn't addressed either. Technical problems can happen, but I was disappointed by the lack of effort to resolve them, particularly as a Radisson Rewards VIP member staying in a suite. It was our first evening away with our children and we had specifically planned a relaxing movie night. Overall, the hotel and suite were nice, but the response to the problems could have been considerably better.
