We booked an overnight stay at the last minute, having travelled several hundred miles. We parked on the opposite side of the M6 and walked to short distance across the covered pedestrian walkway to the hotel. Reception was welcoming and nicely presented, with a warm greeting and a very professiononal quick check in. Our ground floor double room was a very decent size, with fresh and functional decor; it was also spotlessly clean. The walk-in wetroom shower was considerably better than a lot of higher end hotels! And the bed was extremely comfortable, definitely worthy of a special mention. We could not believe how well we slept; we didn't hear anyone moving around or any traffic at all.
The food onsite at the services was expensive and highly processed, but that was as we predicted so we took snacks with us and dined offsite.
