Hereward College - Hostel

Each time i know im visiting i get that good feeling each time. As a wheelchair user it is amazing because its all on one floor the rooms are perfect size and the beds are height adjustable which makes transferring so much easier I always sleep better when im at Hereward than I do at home!! The bathrooms are very roomly and have a ceiling mounted hoist to enable you to be transferred to a shower chair or into the bath. Excited to come back. Also has a few rooms that have build in hoists to aid transfer into bed

The care support is average compared to other colleges. If you offend someone and try to say sorry. They put you on a warning and the food is below average but the teaching staff excellent and always listening to your worries and help sort it out the best they can help

This was booked through laterooms and the description of a " premier single room" said, " These rooms are all within the beautiful new Lodge accommodation, and include access to excellent fully accessible wet-room style bathroom suites with showers " When I checked in the assistant said, " the rooms aren't en suite, has anyone explained that to you ?" Of course they hadn't, I had just arrived ! (I assume that they have had other people question their description before) £50.00 is too much to pay room only for a bathroom somewhere along the corridor. If their description had accurately covered this, I wouldn't have stayed here. Not good enough.
