Premier Inn Hinckley

Good location for our visit and we have stayed here before and found everything fine. This time we got the impression that things were somewhat rundown and standards had slipped. Corridor carpets had not been vacuumed, but room was clean, although bathroom seemed a little tired. Reception was not very welcoming which is very unusual in a Premier Inn. There was only enough milk in the room for 2 drinks and when we attempted to collect more from reception, we were told that there was none as 'the boss had forgotten to order any'. No attempt to resolve the situation except a suggestion we went to the nearby garage to see if we could buy some ourselves. They did, fortunately, but I do not think this is appropriate when you advertise drink facilities in rooms and we have to buy our own milk. Breakfast was OK, but not freshly cooked and seemed to have been put out at the start of service and just left on a hotplate. All staff we encountered seemed very disinterested in providing a good hospitality service. We regularly use Premier Inns and have always sung their praises, but this would make me rethink booking with them if it had been my 1st experience with them

Friendly/helpful staff at reception & bar. Clean & tidy room with all needed facilities- drinks, hairdryer, towels, toiletries. Breakfast was nice & service good.

Overall was a pleasant stay Dirty Towels in Room As we had a room at the very far end of the hotel the walk wasn’t worth it Did complain when we left but guy on reception didn’t seem to be bothered We booked Breakfast and was one of the best breakfast I’ve had in a long time well done resultant staff keep up the good work
