Village Urban Resort Coventry

Grey (very) & grim. Booked a 1 night stay in a club room. Worst club toom we have ever stayed in! If this is the future, do not waste your money. Wasn't able to self check in as system didn't hold our.booking. Room 505- bizarre to get to room. Lift tp 1st floor then down 2 flights of stairs ! Room - sparce to say the least. 1.bed and 1 side unit and unlike previous club rooms, no sofa or table, just a very large void. Shower - not the cleanest and seals around shower needs a good clean as they were black. On a plus side, village restaurant food was good.

Nice property , suits me as I had to be close to my Son who is in Warwick . No complaints about the quality of service I feel UK still is stuck in time and behind places like UAE or other Asian countries where hospitality industry has reached a different level

Couple of niggles to start, and they are just niggles. Noise. Not evening noise from the bar but totally unruly children running around and screaming for hours. No idea where parents were, but children were very badly behaved. Also as the bar is next to the restaurant with no barrier it isn’t really a calm or relaxed atmosphere. Just a little thing, but some sound reduction would be excellent. Now the good points and they are many. Location- perfect for anywhere in Coventry. We had to make visits all over and nowhere took longer than 20 mins. Also handy supermarket a few hundred yards away. Food - we had dinner and breakfast, both were excellent quality, hot and plentiful. Could not fault a thing. Service - every single member of staff we encountered could not do enough. Polite, quick and respectful. Lovely young people making your stay enjoyable. Room - we had a king room. Lovely, comfy bed. Fantastic walk in rainfall shower. All very clean and well maintained. Parking - plentiful and free. Price - we had the DB&B deal which was super value. Didn’t use the leisure facilities, but lots of people seem to enjoy those too. Would stay again.
