Fox & Goose Hotel

Very easy walk from Hanger Lane tube station. Staff friendly and welcoming, allowing us to check in early. We had room 314 which was a good size, with an enormous comfortable bed and a decent bathroom. Loved the coffee machine, yummy shortbread biscuits and free beer! Very quiet at night, despite the party going on in the pub (10% off for hotel guests). Lots of free car parking, if you drive. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic, had a really good choice and everything was delicious, really good quality. Throughly impressed. Just a couple of minor things, why no bedside reading light? And the bar closed promptly at 11pm which was frustrating as we wanted a last drink with our friends at 11:02pm but weren’t allowed drinks on tab, despite being guests, I suppose rules are rules!

We stayed here from 9th July to 11th July as we were going to Wembley Stadium on the 10th July to see My Chemical Romance to celebrate our 39th wedding anniversary that day. We got the train down from Edinburgh to Kings Cross and used the tube out to Hanger Lane which was much more relaxing and straight forward than flying. We used our 2 for 1 railcard as as it was a special occasion upgraded to first class. Enough of my ramblings, now onto the Hotel. We stayed in room 110, a deluxe double and the room was spacious, lovely, air conditioned and had everything we needed for our stay. From the minute we got there we knew we had made a good choice, the reception staff were lovely and most helpful when we asked about getting to Wembley Stadium for the concert. The staff in the bar and restaurant were exactly the same, nothing was too much trouble for them and they were happy to chat away and were extremely friendly. Breakfast was included as part of our stay and they were absolutely superb, up there with the best we’ve had during many different hotel visits, everything was cooked fresh and was delicious. We had our evening meal there also on the day of our arrival and again it was fantastic. I honestly cannot praise this hotel and its staff highly enough, we had a great time and they played a huge part in that. It is a 3 star but for us we’ve stayed in higher rated hotels that were nowhere near as good. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to stay for a Wembley visit, there are numerous buses out to the area of the stadium and on the way back we walked a bit away from Wembley and then got an Uber as with both of us approaching 60, we were a bit knackered but for younger ones the walk would be easy. Great hotel, great staff and if we ever visit Wembley again, it will be the first place I look for accommodation 😁
