Marygreen Manor

Cracked tiles, grout in shower filthy, curtains ripped and hanging off rails. Stained dirty carpets, ripped bed base. Dining room chairs absolutely filthy, and badly stained. This hotel is like a third world hell hole.

Firstly I want to say the staff were very welcoming and friendly - we enjoyed a light lunch in the garden but the poor man serving us was run ragged - the hotel was also hosting a wedding reception. My main complaint is the room we were allocated - Room 7 - described as deluxe twin room. Only a sky light and no window that opened - it was unbearably hot and uncomfortable and it certainly does not over look the garden. When we checked in and went to Room 7 the door was open presumably by staff to try to cool it down. Only one fan provided. When we returned later in the evening we left the door open to get some in but of course we could not leave it open all night. We both had a really uncomfortable night. So disappointing as we had stayed at the hotel in a nice room with a window that did over look the garden.

Lovely staff. One fantsastic member of staff gave uss a tour and assisted with mums wheelchair. Brilliant!!!
