Opulence Hotel

bad hotel i stayed here with my aunt and uncle and it was not good there were pubes in the bath the bidet was sore on my cheeks and the beds were the worst my uncle found a hair in his bed i kinda liked the location but not the hotel we will be staying in an ibus next time and never again

Literally the WORST experience in 58 years of travel. My wife and I got locked out of our AirBnB and were forced to find a hotel at 2am. This Hotel "Opulence" was a few streets over so we gave it a shot. What a mistake. The attendant advised the room would be 300 pounds. I didn't argue because I figured that was the going rate and we were a bit desperate given it was 2am and it was a long day. The room was absolutely disgusting. Tiny, dirty. We slept in our clothes and on top of the sheets. We were there for about 6 hours as we were able to get in our AirBnB at about 8am. I then checked to see what the rooms go for at this place and websites show about 130 pounds for a Friday night. So.......... the attendant took advantage of us and the situation and charged more than 2x the going rate. I followed up with them in person the next day and they were not willing to refund any of the amount that they charged. Shame shame shame. On top of that, if you check out their rooms on Hotels.com or other sites, you will see the lowest level room doesn't look that bad in the pictures. The room they gave us was nothing close to that. It was more of a closet on the top floor. Like a youth hostel would have been nicer. Shame on them for taking advantage of us on the price and I would NOT recommend anyone to stay here for any price.

This hotel has obviously reacted very quickly to mainly bad reviews. It's in a great location, easy 15 minute walk from Bond Street tube. Receptionist very welcoming; certainly my single room No.1 totally clean, in fact newly painted I reckon. Be prepared for walk up to top floor, no lift, but the view over the mews at back of hotel very nice. For a business trip, on own, would definitely recommend. Thanks for a nice stay to the hotel staff.
