Premier Inn London Kings Cross

My husband and I stayed at this hotel from 23rd June to 27th June. The lifts weren’t working and we had to carry our bags up the stairs to the 4th floor. I watched incoming guests constantly coming in and pressing the buttons to the lifts when they weren’t working. No sign was put on the lifts to advise guests they weren’t working, I would have thought this would have been a minimum. This was a constant issue during our stay, working then not working lifts but the worst was yet to come. On the Friday my husband went down to get some coffee and didn’t return. He was stuck in one of the lifts! The emergency button wasn’t working, so he had to call out until a passing guest heard him and alerted hotel staff. He was stuck in there for 2 hours in a heatwave. Management had called the lift engineer, but didn’t know when he would get there. I called the Fire Brigade and they eventually got him out. Lift engineer eventually turned up and said “ they were working yesterday “, a very helpful comment. No one from the Hotel contacted us during the rest of our stay to check on my husband’s well being. Lifts in hotels should have a working emergency button.

Location is good but staff are not friendly, and bar and restaurant closed far too early, bar closed at 9.45!!! Premier plus room states sweet treats and non were there and staff denied they are available as advertised

The premier inn staff was not very accommodating (reception staff), we had to wait until 5:30 to be checked in and at this time they had still not got our room ready. Fortunately the restaurant staff especially Muhid made our experience very pleasant, he went the extra mile in accommodating us in a friendly professional manner. Thank you Muhid.
