Ramada Crawley-Gatwick

Not the nicest, considering all hotels could do with being a bit cleaner than normal at the moment it felt a little grimy, but the sheets were clean and it was only a place to have a base to explore from because I was considering buying a house in Crawley and wanted to get a feel for the area, the Ramada is well located on the biggest high street I've ever been to. The front desk were helpful as we arrived earlier than check in and wanted to leave the car in the carpark, which they accommodated. They were still friendly when we wanted to check in and when we checked out so in my limited conversations with staff, all boxes were ticked there.

This is one of those hotels which looks really impressive from the front but if you’re arriving by car and parking at the back you wonder where on earth the office travel agent has booked you. Potholed car park which is shared with a hand wash car company and shabby back buildings. But once you get inside it feels more like the olde world coaching Inn that it used to be. Yes the floorboards creek and the plumbing was a little dubious ( I never worked out which was the hot and cold tap in my bathroom) but that’s what you get with an old hotel when the owners don’t have the money to regularly update it. The rooms are a decent size, so too the bathrooms and they’re well equipped. Hotel wasn’t serving breakfast which they were blaming on Covid which seems a bit weak nowadays, most hotels I’m staying in have returned to doing breakfast. In summary it’s fine, clean, comfortable, safe and good value. It could do with some TLC and if it got some it would be brilliant

Just returned from a 3 night stay at the ramada crawley. Amazing. Staff were so helpful and polite. Nothing was too much trouble. Room was clean. Several extras ie. A fan . Ironing board and iron. Free car parking. Didnt want to leave. Thank you for a great stay. Cant wait to come back.
