⭐⭐ Great Location and Nice Staff — But No A/C Was Rough in August Our experience at the Royal National Hotel in London was very mixed. There are definitely some positives, but there are also a couple of important things I wish I had fully understood before booking. First, the staff was very nice and welcoming. The hotel is also conveniently located for getting around London, and we found the room itself to be a good size. For travelers who plan to spend most of their day sightseeing, the location is a major advantage. Unfortunately, those positives came with a significant drawback during our August stay: the rooms have NO air conditioning. London was warm, and sleeping without A/C was rough. Opening the windows would normally help, but that created another problem. The hotel is near a busy hospital area, and throughout the night we could hear ambulances, motorcycles and street noise. So you are essentially choosing between closing the windows and dealing with a warm room or opening them for air and dealing with the nighttime noise. This is something summer travelers should seriously consider before booking the Royal National Hotel. During cooler months, my experience might have been completely different because the staff, room size and convenient Central London location were all positives. For an August visit, however, the combination of no air conditioning and nighttime street noise significantly affected our comfort and sleep. Good staff. Good location. Good-sized room. But during the summer, I would personally choose a London hotel with air conditioning.

Great location for public transport, room was nice and clean its your standard hotel room , staff was lovely , can hear everything going on inside and outside definitely recommend earplugs if you get disturbed by noise easily , didn’t try any food as we was there for one night and ate out instead but would definitely stay here again.
