St Mark Hotel

Looks newly opened/renovated. Cosy room with a compact but excellent bathroom. Super rain shower. Lots of free toiletries . Fridge with a couple of water bottles. Comfy beds. Everything worked, neighbourhood around Earl’s Court really nice.

I booked St Mark Hotel through Hotels.com from April 11 to April 13 2026, but the experience was very disappointing. When we arrived to check in, the room did not match our expectations at all. It was very small and not suitable for two people. The receptionist (an older man) was unprofessional and had a bad attitude. Instead of trying to help us or find a solution, he kept repeating that we had to pay extra if we wanted a better room. They also took a £100 deposit from us, even though we decided not to stay at the hotel. We left the same day to find another place. When we asked for a refund, he refused and said we would not get our money back, claiming it was our fault. Overall, this was a very negative experience, both in terms of service and how the situation was handled. He was not wearing a name badge. I would not recommend staying here.

Despite older poor reviews, we had a great stay in a clean, comfortable room. I’m sure the hotel has recently been renovated, as the room was modern with excellent facilities. Close to Earls Court - would recommend.
