Location was good, near to Paddington station. Amenities were not excellent, we didn't have air conditioning in the room and the temperature outside was hot during our stay. The room was clean. Breakfast was okay, we enjoyed the free English breakfast when booking online.

The Darlington is one of many hotels in Sussex Gardens, but it's distinguished by very pleasant rooms, friendly and helpful staff, and terrific breakfasts which are included if you book direct. Perfectly situated close to Paddington Station and convenient to the Tube to get around London and see the sights, plus it was quiet at night and we slept well in the comfortably appointed room.

Front of house staff really helpful and friendly. Dining staff attentive. The room was basic with no air con. Fan provides offered minimal comfort. Bathroom we asked for accessible shower but given one over the bath with an incredibly high step. The TV is far too small for the size of the room. Quality of cooked breakfast was poor value for money. Location is good as close to station and Hyde Park. If we did stay again, it would not be in the summer as the room was uncomfortably hot and we did not sleep well.
