The Grange Clarendon Hotel

I enjoyed my stay - the room was lovely huge and quiet bed comfy shower great and everything was clean and spotless. Staff friendly and helpful. Don’t have the breakfast went out for that as the dining room looked too busy and there are plenty options near by. I would stay again.

Don’t come here. It smells. I’m sat in a basement room that badly needs decorating. The furniture looks like it was rescued from bins. There is a perfectly good travel lodge nearby which we thought we were improving on but would stay there any day over here. The smell throughout the place is awful. The carpets are stained, the woodwork battered and the towels thin and crispy. Horrendous. There was a lovely girl working there who was very smiley- the only positive thing. It was only one night or I just wouldn’t have stayed

This was a birthday gift and what a gift it was ;(. I leave it for you to compare the difference. My hubby made the day that was the only good thing about it. The hotel defo not a 4* as characterised on Groupon. I am being totally honest and the pictures I took......... you be judge. Unfriendly staff, not what I am use too The room 312 was like a 4x4 compacted in everyway. no fridge, no air con only a fan and the towel rack in the bathroom was broken, no selection of teas and I like my mint tea. We understand it is a listed building so cannot change much but it definitely needs some tender loving care. Would I be coming back not blooming likely. Wished I read the reviews first!!!!!!!!
