Chequers Inn Hotel

Had a fantastic stay here. 2 nights. Staff were wonderful. Room was clean and cool. Ensuite bathroom. Lovely to stay in a place with character. Quiet. Comfy bed.

Excellent value. Stayed with my daughter for an event. Staff could not have been friendlier and a warm welcome at the pub. The rooms were traditional (which I loved, but may be an acquired taste if you're used to chains) and had everything we needed, and it was surprisingly cool given the hot weather. We left a phone charger behind, which had not been handed in, but the owner kindly provided me with a replacement one. Nothing but kind words.

We understand its work in progress but seriously. No hot water , tv doesn’t work 1970s decor . Upon arrival we nearly turned around and went to the Premier inn . You can only take advantage of people for so long . Trying to run a basic semi derelict building as a hospitality venue can only work for so long before people vote with their feet .
