A pleasant hotel with quiet rooms. Although there was no air conditioning, they provided a fan. The bed was comfy, and the room was very clean. The breakfast was made fresh to order and very nice. The staff were absolutely outstanding and really went above and beyond. I checked out early due to work commitments; however, I had an important Zoom meeting and needed a quiet space. I returned to the hotel, and even though their meeting was booked, they accommodated me; I was able to take the meeting in private and with confidence that I wouldn't be disturbed. Sharma was extremely polite and professional. Thank you to the whole team at Hickstead.

Location isn't that great there is no shops near bt you really need to drive to stay there. The atmosphere Its a very quiet area so you are definitely able to relax The room itself there is a small amount of plug sockets and you get plumbing noises from the bathroom so I didn't really sleep that well its a good size room but the shower isn't really fixed into the wall that well Its good value for money as you get breakfast included Its nicely cleaned It was definitely short staff there as you only had one person doing the bar and reception. The bar definitely needs to be a little bit bigger its very small and small selection of drinks I had no issues with the staff they was very friendly

We booked in February via booking.com for 4 days August Bank Holiday Weekend and received confirmation from both booking.com and the hotel, but on arrival we were advised there was no reservation for us and they had no rooms available for Thursday or Saturday. After showing my booking details they put us in a family room. I paid the additional fee for breakfast for the four days. The quality of which was not good. We left early as the festival we were attending was cancelled due to an incident on site. This left two days paid for that we did not use. Whilst I understand my booking may not be refundable I see no reason why they could not refund the £52 we paid for breakfasts that we did not have. The hotel’s response was the terms and conditions do not allow refunds on prepaid bookings.
