HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS ARMOURIES

This review is for the cafe only. We went in before going to the Armories for a quick breakfast but the service was shocking. The woman who served us clearly didn't want to be there, she was as blunt and efficient as she could get away with. The bacon cobs were so dry they were crumbling, there were two cubes of butter on the side but as the bacon was already in it was this an omission or a hint they needed rescuing? To top our experience off it cost nearly £18 with two teas. £18!! My point is, don't open up a small portion of your restaurant to the public if you don't want their custom! We certainly wouldn't go there again, and if that's the standard of their breakfast option then it's put me off staying as well. Poor show Holiday Inn.

Arrive at hotel on saturday, was given accessible room, low bed and accessible features.I complain to the reception staff, young man he was amazing he change my room to double straight away.The location was great with yellow water taxi next to hotel.Breakfast was not good,food to dry.Lot food drop on landings from people staying in hotel.Doors banging all day long.Staff was great especially two young man working there saturday and sunday. Long walk to city centre.

We stayed for three nights in this hotel. All the staff were professional, helpful and friendly. Special mention for Ryan who was not only all of those things, he was also extremely good at multi-tasking. The hotel was very clean. Breakfast was hot, regularly replenished and good quality. The quiet location is also great. A lovely walk along the canal to the city centre for shops - about ten minutes. Alternatively you can take the water taxi (£3.50 pp) - a very enjoyable boat ride to the train station which is very central. Plenty of places to eat and drink within walking distance. Discounted parking in the multi-storey car park next door (£8 per 24 hours for hotel guests). We can definitely recommend this hotel and would be very happy to stay here again should we return to Leeds.
