Basic, not too noise given the location right on the main road, hotel staff were mostly friendly and accommodating but the bedroom I had erlaly needed updating. It felt so grimy and used. Very hot when I went and requested a fan from reception. Eventually got one but it was useless and the airconditioning in the room was not great either. The breakfast (if you come down after 8am) looked as though it had been sitting out for hours and was very unappetising and morning staff obviously not morning people!

I have been travelling to Bradford on business Jan through June. The Leonardo is attractively priced and looks good at a superficial level. Beds - not great, pillows terrible Bar - friendly staff, but the competent ones are stretched and so it’s slow Restaurant - food took 1.5h to arrive, it was a mixture of scolding and lukewarm and had obviously been standing a while. Bar - not a comfortable place to sit but fine for food This hotel is also popular with coach parties. If you are unlucky enough to stay when one is in town, run away quickly because the place will be in meltdown

I always loved the Faulty Towers series but when I felt that our experience was like being in a Faulty Towers series I wasn’t happy. Good points - the hotel management staff. especially the breakfast manger was excellent at trying to problem solve our problems. But the staff overall were unfriendly with poor attitudes and seemed to be poorly trained. Minor issues occurred and built each day making for an unpleasant experience. Our room had a TV but no remote, toilet but no toilet paper and an ironing board and no iron. There were two of us but one towel. When we asked for another towel the housekeeping staff told us they were told to only leave one towel in each room. There is no fridge or safe in the room. The bed is comfortable although the pillows are poor quality and uncomfortable and the duvet smelt of body odor. The hotel has several bus tours each day so the breakfast room is always busy with people using their hands rather than utensils to get buffet food. The toaster warms bread and puts bread on fire if you try to toast it. As toast on fire seemed to be regular I am surprised they don’t fixed this problem. It took 3 days to get a boiled egg for breakfast. Day 1 they kept forgetting the order. Day 2 they gave me a cold egg and when I asked for a hot egg they placed it in hot water to warm up but it was still cold in the centre. Day 3 they had sorted the egg problem. We arrived back to our room last evening to find the room had not been serviced. We were annoyed that the staff accused us of not putting the service sign on the door. Staff in this hotel desperately need training in customer service. We will not be staying here again unless the problems outlined are fixed.
