Just got back from staying at this hotel and I must say what a lovely time I had ,hotel was very clean and wasn't noisy ,the staff were so attentive and friendly and polite ,everyone smiled and said hello Our evening meal was excellent ,and the fact that there were table cloths on the table ,nice cutlery and glasses and jugs of water all made it a lovely experience Breakfast was excellent with a great choice of hot and cold meals of excellent quality the only fault was that although the hot food was amazing, it was not hot it was edible but not hot or even warm ,unlike our evening meal which was nice and hot Don't get me wrong breakfast was beautifully presented and I ate every last bit but it would have been better not Would definitely stay here again or in one of the other hotels in the group Thank you for a pleasant stay

1) put your car details into the tablet at reception EVERY time you enter the building. 2) I worked at The Bankfield as a summer job back in the 80s. It was a bit ‘faded splendour with terrible extension’ back then. Now it’s ‘unmaintained disappointment with grubby corridors’. 3) put your car details into the tablet at reception EVERY time you enter the building. 4) It’s clean enough, good enough and convenient enough to be worth the bargain price. 5) put your car details into the tablet at reception EVERY time you enter the building. 6) It’s taken 3 months, a clutch of emails from the manager, a clutch of phone calls to and from a debt collection agency and a fair few sleepless nights to avoid a court date and judgement. Having put our stay details into the tablet at reception on arrival and stating our departure date we didn’t repeatedly do so. Once the debt collector letters started coming it became a deluge. It was eventually resolved but the bargain price was definitely not worth the aggravation. 7) It could be (and was) such a lovely place. Accor really need to up their investment and get rid of ‘Smart Parking’.

I booked this stay specially for my nephew and new wife – their wedding night and second night – to give them a lovely, peaceful start to married life. Instead, what should have been special was spoiled completely, and the General Manager’s response has been every bit as disappointing as the incident itself. WHAT HAPPENED: ✅ Pre‑arranged: I contacted the hotel in advance and got explicit permission to decorate their room with rose petals and LED candles for their wedding. ✅ Ignored request: At 3:05 am on checkout morning, the bride messaged the hotel’s own provided out‑of‑hours number asking for a slight late checkout – zero reply at all. ❌ Rushed & accused: Checkout was 11:00 am. At 10:45 am, staff turned up, said the room was a “mess” and claimed it smelled of cannabis – told them they needed to leave. ❌ Contradictory stories: First reception said “other guests complained” – then admitted no written records exist at all and it was only housekeeping. No smoke alarms triggered, no ash, no pipes, no photos – nothing to prove smoking took place. ❌ Prescribed medicinal cannabis ignored: My nephew carries lawfully prescribed medicinal cannabis for health reasons – he told staff this and offered to show proof there and then. They refused to look or listen. ❌ Disability disregarded: He has diagnosed autism & ADHD. When this was explained, staff still acted confrontationally, causing him severe distress and anxiety – under the Equality Act 2010 they must adjust how they communicate once told, regardless of when you tell them. HOW THEY HANDLED THE COMPLAINT: I sent a full, detailed complaint with evidence screenshots. General Manager Sandeep Das first offered partial apologies but defended their actions – then when I challenged the gaps and legal points, he sent just: “My response will still be the same. I am sorry I can't help you much on this occasion.” No proper answers, no addressing the facts, no explaining where their evidence is – just sweeping it away like our experience and their legal duties don’t matter. VERDICT: • They approved decorations then called them messy • They gave an emergency contact then ignored it • They accused without proof • They dismissed lawful prescription & disability rights • They refused to properly investigate or acknowledge failings This wasn’t a small mistake – it was poor training, poor procedure, and terrible attitude afterwards. If you want a special occasion stay, or if you have medical needs/disabilities, I cannot recommend risking it here.
